Dr. Tinatin Doolotkeldieva’s academic journey began at Kyrgyz State University, where she earned her M.D. in Biology and Chemistry in 1974. Her passion for microbiology led her to pursue a Ph.D. at the Institute of Biology of the National Academy of Kyrgyz Republic in 1985. Building on her expertise, she embarked on postdoctoral research in Kazakhstan and Russia, specializing in microbiology and biotechnology. In 1999, she joined the Agricultural Department at Kyrgyz Agrarian University as a professor, focusing on microbiology and biotechnology. She is also a Co-PI in the ‘Preservation of Central Asian fruit tree forest ecosystems, pome fruit varieties and germplasm from the recent epidemics caused by the invasive bacterial pathogen Erwinia amylovora (fire blight)’ project funded by the Swiss scientific foundation.
Dr. Turgunbaev Kubanychbek

Dr. Turgunbaev Kubanychbek is a Professor at the Department of Forestry and Fruit Production at Kyrgyz National Agrarian University, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. He has authored more than 100 scientific papers. He studied at the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute, named after K.I. Skryabin with a specialty in agronomy. In 1991-1992 he began his career at KSAI, as a 2nd category engineer in the laboratory of Biotechnology of agricultural plants. 1992-1996, he worked at KSAI as an assistant in the department of "Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Viticulture". He defended his dissertation in 2000 in the specialty of botany. In 2005, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor. He led several projects with international collaborators to assess the diversity and conservation of fruit crops and their wild relatives in Central Asia. He also worked as an associate professor at the Department of Forestry of KAU, Dean of the Agronomic Faculty of KNAU, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (part-time), and head of the Department of Forestry and Fruit Growing of KNAU.
Dr. Gulmira Sariyeva

Dr. Gulmira Sariyeva is an assistant professor and the head of the molecular genetics laboratory at the department of natural and medical sciences, K. Tynystanov Issyk-Kul state university, Karakol, Kyrgyzstan since 2017. She has a strong interest in studying the genetics of the fire blight pathogen, Erwinia amylovora. She holds a diploma in Biology and Chemistry, and a PhD in understanding adaptive physiological and biochemical changes in spring wheat cultivars under drought from KazNU. She also did an internship at the photosynthesis Laboratory at the Botanic Institute, Technical University of Karlsruhe in Germany. She has led several research projects and authored over 50 scientific articles.
