Mission Statement: The Silk Road Apple Association will foster collaborative research, innovation, and knowledge-sharing among Apple research institutions, scientists, and industry stakeholders across Silk Road countries. SRAA aims to promote sustainable apple production and strengthen industry resilience across Silk Road regions through collaborative initiatives in apple germplasm conservation, horticulture, pest and disease management, genetics and breeding, post-harvest, marketing, and regional advocacy.
Vision Statement: We envision being a leading collaborative network that empowers Silk Road countries to advance apple science, sustainability, and industry growth by supporting apple research, promoting biodiversity conservation, capacity building, and regional partnerships to enhance nutritional security and economic development across Silk Road nations.
Membership: Open to Apple research institutions, scientists, and industry stakeholders from Silk Road countries.
Governance:Â A Board of Directors representing scientific disciplines from the region.
Activities: Organize conferences, workshops, and training programs; establish joint research projects; promote exchange visits and student fellowships; and advocate for research funding.
